Hello, I recently completed my PhD at OISE, University of Toronto, with the degree to be conferred in November 2025. My research interests lie in Computer-Supported Collaborative Learning (CSCL), particularly in how to improve the quality of CSCL to facilitate transformative learning in equitable ways. My work centres on Knowledge Creation (KC), a collaborative learning environment design that supports every student in developing the skills and attitudes needed to become self-directed, community-oriented, and creative individuals needed in a democratic, innovation-driven society. My publications focus on KC epistemology, concepts, analyses, and pedagogies. A key element of my approach is the integration and adaption of revision prompts in peer-to-peer threaded discussions, a strategy that holds every student accountable for making iterative, creative improvement of ideas in collaborative learning settings. My research provides evidence that with sufficient guidance from teachers, students can participate in KC effectively and develop the capacities required to create knowledge that advances their both their own and the collective understanding.
